DF_DC Architects

Our long-time friend Dario Franchini designed the B5 and co-founded DF_DC with Diego Calderon, an architecture firm and urban design studio with offices in London and Lugano.

The firm workson designing buildings, places, and strategies in various sectors, with an architectural language that is both clearly understandable and permeable. DF_DC is particularly interested in the relationship between structure and tangible execution.

The firm’s approach is collaborative, building strategic connections with other offices, and being part of an international network of consultants strengthened by their studios, international projects, and academic work.

Since 2016, the firm has led a design studio at Kingston School of Art and was a workshop leader at the Porto Academy in 2022 and 2023. Recent awards include the Best Architects Award 2022 and 2023 and an honorable mention at the 2020 Architecture Biennale in Mexico.
