Commitment to Sustainability

At B5, sustainability begins with the story of our house. Instead of building something new, we chose to preserve what was already here and carefully bring it into the present.

Today, we harness the power of the sun and modern heat pumps – entirely without fossil fuels. Smart insulation keeps the rooms warm in winter and pleasantly cool in summer, while automatic sunshades adjust the temperature throughout the day. Water-saving fittings, the conscious avoidance of harmful chemicals and a consistent recycling programme all contribute to an environmentally friendly operation.

For us, sustainability also means staying close to home. We work with local producers, use food from Ticino and cultivate partnerships that strengthen our ties to the region.

Our guests are part of this journey too. With the free Ticino Ticket, the region can be explored in a climate-friendly way – by train, bus or boat. Every stay at B5 becomes lighter on the environment.
